Job Description: Quality Control Engineer /Jr. Production Engineer

Role Summary

The Quality Control Engineer / Jr. Production Engineer will support day-to-day production activities, ensure smooth workflow on the shop floor, coordinate with design and site teams, and help maintain quality, timelines, and material utilization in interior/furniture manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing production schedules as per project requirements

• Coordinate with design, estimation, and site teams for drawings and clarifications

• Prepare and review BOQ, BOM, and cutting lists

• Monitor production progress and report daily status to senior engineers

• Ensure material availability and proper usage to minimize wastage

• Support quality checks as per approved drawings and standards

• Coordinate with carpenters, painters, machine operators, and supervisors

• Maintain production records, reports, and documentation

• Ensure adherence to safety and company SOPs on the shop floor

Skills & Requirements

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Production, or related field

• Basic knowledge of interior fit-out & furniture manufacturing

• Understanding of materials: plywood, MDF, laminate, veneer, hardware

• Familiarity with AutoCAD drawings (basic level)

• Basic knowledge of CNC, panel saw, edge banding (preferred)

• Good coordination and communication skills

• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced production environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience in interior or modular furniture industry

• Knowledge of finishing processes (PU, polish, laminate pasting)

• Ability to handle multiple tasks under supervision
