Quality Control Engineer

JD For Quality Engineer in Rabale: In process & final Inspection of pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, columns,

storage tanks, piping equipment’s.

 Inspection of Coded Vessel & Boiler as per ASME sec-V III- Div -1

 Inspection activities like fit-up, weld visual inspection, dimensional

inspection, and Final inspection, NDT inspection, carried out for Pressure

vessels as per ASME Sec VIII & Approved procedures.

 Inspection of Boiler raw materials (i.e. Plate, Pipe, Tube, Pipe fittings,

Structural steel, Flanges, Forged Components & Casting Components).

 Witnessed welder qualification test, reviewing of WPS, PQR, and WPQ.as

per ASME Section IX.

 NDT like PT, RT, VT, LEAK TESTING examinations & evaluations as per ASME

Sec V.

Witness of Lab Testing like Chemical, Mechanical, Hardness, IGC, Micro,

Macro , Pitting corrosion, Galvanizing coating, Ferrite test, Impact test, at

NABL laboratory/Site.

 Precision Machining items inspection like close tolerance In-line bores, pins

also Referenced dimensioned items inspection of items on co-ordinate

measuring machine (CMM) - for assembly of dynamic equipment.

 Material Heat treatment inspection of Normalising, Annealing, Hardening

and tempering, Age hardening, Solution annealing etc

 Material secondary treatment process inspection of Zinc –nickel plating,

Electrodes Nickel plating, hard chromatising, Anodising, Passivation,

Powder Coating, Nitriding, Machined part GD&T – CMM inspection of

Form of straightness, flatness, circularity, Profile inspection of line profile,

surface profile, Orientation inspection of Angularity, perpendicular,

Parallelism Location inspection of position, concentricity, symmetry, Run

out inspection of Circular run out, total run out

 Surface Preparation & Coating inspection. Witness/Review various stages of inspection during fabrication as per

PO, QAP, NDT Procedures, Drawing & applicable code / specifications

for fabricated equipment’s.

 Review of Inspection documents as per Customer specification,

Project requirements, standard and ITP.

 Review of Mill Test Certificates (MTC) and verify chemical and

mechanical requirements with required ASME Standards and

specifications

 Witnessed of NDT as per ITP/QCP (i.e. UT, PT, and MPT &) &

evaluation of records.

 Witness of Chemical, Mechanical, Hardness, IGC, Micro, Macro, HIC,

SSCC, Pitting corrosion, Galvanizing coating, Ferrite test, Impact test,

at NABL laboratory/Site.

 Set-up inspection as per drawing requirements.

 Evaluation and witnessing PT, and hardness testing.
