ob Title: Quality Control Engineer – Finishing Works (Field Role)
Department: QA/QC – Site Execution
Location: Project Site
Reporting To: QA/QC Manager / Site In-Charge
Conduct daily inspections of finishing works to ensure correct construction techniques and workmanship.
Raise and follow up on Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) with the client/consultant.
Check and approve materials delivered at site for compliance with technical specifications.
Identify and report non-conformances, issue NCRs, and verify corrective actions on-site.
Coordinate with client/site engineers for material sampling and third-party lab tests.
Monitor ongoing work to ensure adherence to approved drawings, quality standards, and MMRDA norms.
Conduct snag inspections during pre-handover/final finishing stages and ensure rectifications are completed on time.
Supervise works during the Defect Liability Period (DLP) to confirm proper replacement of defective installations.
Report any unsafe practices or use of unapproved materials observed on site.
Ensure all site works are executed with safety protocols in place.
Guide site supervisors and workers on correct finishing techniques, especially for architectural finishes.
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
3–5 years of field experience in finishing work quality control.
Good knowledge of site practices, IS codes, and quality standards.
Ability to read drawings and identify workmanship issues on-site.
Strong coordination and communication skills with execution teams.
