Quality Control Engineer

Job Description: Quality Engineer Valve Manufacturing

Department: Quality Assurance & Control

Reports To: Quality Manager

Location: Vasai, Maharashtra

Salary: Better hike on current salary as per the Interview

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist with QM in QMS & Certification Management

2. Report the ongoing implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS) encompassing Quality (ISO 9001, API Q1), Environment (ISO 14001), and Occupational Health & Safety (ISO 45001) to QM.

3. Maintain all company certifications, specifically

API Q1: Maintain full compliance with the specification for the entire manufacturing process as stated by QM

API Monogram Program: Maintain the documents as stated by QM about the proper application of the API Monogram on licensed products, ensuring strict adherence to all program requirements.

Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

4. Technical & Process Oversight:

Ensure the calibration and maintenance of all inspection, measuring, and test equipment.

Ensure the integrity of the QMS is maintained when changes to the system are planned.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

A minimum of 3-4 years of progressive experience in a quality management role, with at least 2 years specifically within a valve manufacturing company.

Integrated Management Systems (IMS) covering Quality, Environment, and Health & Safety.

Certified Internal Auditor training (ISO 9001:2015 or API Q1).

General knowledge of valve manufacturing processes, including casting, forging, machining, welding, assembly, and testing.

General understanding of relevant materials, NDE methods (RT, UT, MP, PT), and industry codes (ASME, ASTM, ANSI, NACE)
