Key Responsibilities
Inspect and Test: Check raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods using precise tools like calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
Document Results: Record test data, maintain inspection logs, and fill out compliance or certificate of analysis forms.
Report Defects: Identify flaws, raise non-conformance reports, and flag issues to production supervisors or the US Bureau of Labor Statistics standard guidelines.
Support Improvements: Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to find root causes and fix production line errors.
Train Staff: Educate assembly and line workers on proper safety protocols and quality metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Attention to Detail: Spot minor physical defects or measurement variances.
Technical Proficiency: Read blueprints, technical drawings, and product specifications.
Analytical Skills: Use basic math and problem-solving methods to trace faults.
