Quality Engineer – Precision Machining & Inspection
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of precision-machined components as per customer drawings, specifications, and internal quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspection of machined components.
Read and understand engineering drawings, tolerances, GD&T, and inspection requirements.
Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, Dial Indicator, Profile Projector, and CMM.
Prepare inspection reports, first-piece approval reports, and final inspection reports.
Maintain records related to rejection, rework, calibration, and customer quality requirements.
Coordinate with production and NPD teams for quality improvement and defect prevention.
Ensure proper identification, traceability, and segregation of accepted, rejected, and rework parts.
Support PPAP, FAI, and customer audit documentation wherever required.
Report any deviation, non-conformance, or repeated quality issue immediately to the senior management.
Maintain discipline, honesty, and accuracy in all inspection readings and quality records.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of CNC machining inspection, GD&T, CMM operation, 5S, basic quality tools, and ISO/AS9100 documentation will be preferred.
