Key Responsibilities
✅ 1. Raw Material Quality Check
Inspect incoming raw materials (flour, sugar, cream, eggs, chocolate, etc.)
Check for freshness, expiry date, smell, texture
Reject substandard or damaged materials
Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note) quality records
✅ 2. In-Process Quality Control
Monitor production at every stage (mixing, baking, cooling, decoration)
Ensure correct recipe and measurements are followed
Check weight, shape, texture, color, taste of cakes
Prevent wastage and errors during production
✅ 3. Finished Product Inspection
Check final cakes before dispatch
Ensure:
Proper finishing & decoration
Correct weight & size
Freshness and taste
Approve or reject batches based on quality
✅ 4. Hygiene & Food Safety
Ensure workers follow:
Gloves, caps, uniforms
Handwashing & sanitation
Maintain cleanliness of production area
Ensure pest control and waste disposal
Follow FSSAI food safety guidelines
✅ 5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain:
Daily QC reports
Batch records
Rejection reports
Temperature logs (oven/chiller)
Report issues to management immediately
✅ 6. SOP & Process Compliance
Ensure all SOPs are followed on the floor
Train workers on quality standards
Update/check production checklists
✅ 7. Complaint Handling
Investigate customer complaints (taste, quality, damage)
Identify root cause
Suggest corrective actions
✅ 8. Shelf Life & Storage Control
Monitor storage conditions (temperature, humidity)
Ensure FIFO (First In First Out)
Check expiry of cakes and raw materials
