Head of Quality – Leather Goods Manufacturing

We are looking for an experienced Head of Quality to lead end-to-end quality operations in a leather goods manufacturing factory. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring export-quality standards across raw materials, production, inline inspection and final shipment approval.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage complete factory quality operations from sampling to shipment

• Lead a team of 6–8 QC staff including inline, final and raw material inspectors

• Develop SOPs, quality systems and product-wise checklists

• Monitor inline quality and reduce defects, rework and rejection

• Handle final inspections and shipment approvals as per AQL/export standards

• Coordinate with production, procurement and merchandising teams

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

• Ensure compliance with buyer requirements and audit standards

• Track quality reports, defect analysis and process improvements

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in leather goods manufacturing (bags, wallets, belts, accessories)

• Knowledge of leather grading, stitching, finishing and construction techniques

• Experience in AQL standards and export factory quality systems

• Strong leadership, decision-making and problem-solving skills

• Hands-on approach with strong production floor involvement

Preferred Candidate:

• 8–12 years experience in leather manufacturing

• Minimum 3–5 years in quality leadership role

• Experience in export-oriented factories mandatory

• Ownership-driven and detail-oriented professional with zero-defect mindset

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 6+ years of experience.
