Quality Assurance Executive

Job Duties:

Raw Material & Packaging Material Inspection:

• Assist in sampling and inspecting incoming raw materials (chemicals, fragrances, surfactants).

• Verify materials against COA (Certificate of Analysis) and internal specifications.

• Record results and escalate deviations to senior QA staff.

In-Process Quality Checks:

• Perform routine checks during production (batch processing, mixing, filling, etc.).

• Monitor critical parameters like pH, viscosity, Odor, appearance, etc.

• Ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) during processing.

• Report any abnormalities or non-conformities immediately.

Finished Product Testing:

• Collect and test samples from finished goods.

• Perform basic physical and chemical tests (as per SOPs).

• Assist in preparing COA for finished goods before dispatch.

Documentation & Record-Keeping:

• Maintain proper records of quality checks, test reports, and deviations.

• Ensure all QA forms, logs, and checklists are filled correctly and timely.

• Assist in batch record reviews for completeness and compliance.

Support in Handling Non-Conformities:

• Tag and quarantine non-conforming raw materials or finished products.

• Report findings to the QA Manager.

• Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

Hygiene and GMP Monitoring:

• Conduct checks to ensure workers follow hygiene protocols (especially in filling and packing areas).

• Inspect cleanliness of production areas, tools, and equipment.

• Ensure compliance with pest control, cleaning schedules, and sanitization procedures.

Calibration and Equipment Monitoring:

• Support in verifying calibration status of QA lab instruments.

• Assist in maintenance and cleanliness of lab equipment (pH meters, viscometers, weighing balances, etc.).

Sampling and Stability Studies:

• Collect samples for stability testing or shelf-life studies.

• Label and store samples properly as per protocol.

Support in Internal Audits & Compliance

• Help prepare documents and data for internal/external audits (e.g., ISO, GMP).

• Follow up on audit findings and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).

Education & Skills Required:

• B.Sc. in Chemistry / Microbiology or Diploma in Chemical Engineering / QA

• Basic knowledge of lab testing techniques and instruments

• Understanding of GMP, SOPs, and basic QC/QA procedures

• Good observation, reporting, and communication skills
