QA/QC Engineer (Food-Grade Manufacturing)

📍 Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to ensure that all raw materials, production processes, and finished products meet the highest food-grade quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a key role in maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, and ISO 22000 standards.

The ideal candidate will support plant operations through proactive quality control, effective food safety management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, maintain, and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO and GMP standards.

• Conduct inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods to verify conformance to specifications.

• Establish and monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and preventive measures throughout production.

• Review and approve Certificates of Analysis (CoA), batch records, and related documentation.

• Lead root cause analyses and manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for quality deviations.

• Support internal and external audits with customers and regulatory authorities.

• Ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments and quality testing equipment.

• Collaborate with R&D, Production, and Procurement teams to maintain consistent product and supplier quality.

• Train staff on quality procedures, hygiene standards, and food safety practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.

• 1–5 years of QA/QC experience in food-grade, food ingredient, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.

• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, and ISO 22000 standards.

• Familiarity with food safety regulations (e.g., FSSAI, FDA, EFSA, or relevant local standards).

• Proficiency in analytical testing, documentation, and data interpretation.

• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

• Certification in HACCP, ISO 22000, or Lead Auditor (ISO 9001) preferred.
