Purchase Manager

We are looking for an experienced Purchase cum Store Manager who can efficiently handle both procurement and store operations in an engineering/manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of vendor management, inventory control, material planning, and ERP systems to ensure smooth production and timely material availability.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Management

• Source and procure raw materials, engineering components, consumables, and equipment.

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate the best prices, quality, and delivery terms.

• Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and follow up on deliveries.

• Identify and evaluate new suppliers to improve cost and quality.

• Coordinate with production and planning teams for material requirements.

• Monitor purchase budgets and achieve cost-saving targets.

• Ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.

Store Management

• Manage inward and outward movement of materials.

• Maintain proper stock levels and inventory records.

• Conduct regular physical stock verification and inventory audits.

• Monitor FIFO/LIFO practices and inventory accuracy.

• Handle GRN preparation, material issue, returns, and documentation.

• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of materials.

• Minimize inventory losses, wastage, and obsolete stock.

Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain purchase and store records in ERP software.

• Prepare MIS reports related to purchases, inventory, and stock status.
