Purchase Manager

• Procurement Planning

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.

  • Forecast procurement needs based on production schedules and inventory levels.

• Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for quality materials at competitive prices.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key vendors and monitor their performance.

• Cost Control & Budgeting

  • Ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising on quality.

  • Monitor and control budgets related to procurement activities.

• Purchase Order Management

  • Issue and track purchase orders (POs).

  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services as per agreed terms.

• Quality Assurance

  • Coordinate with quality control teams to verify the quality of materials received.

  • Reject or return defective items and follow up for replacements.

• Inventory Coordination

  • Work closely with stores and warehouse teams to ensure proper stock levels.

  • Avoid overstocking or stockouts.

• Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all procurement processes comply with company policies and government regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and deliveries.

• Team Management

  • Supervise and train junior purchasing staff (if any).

  • Delegate tasks and monitor their performance.

    3 to 7 years of experience in procurement or purchase department.

  • Prior experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is preferred.
    Languages Known

    • Tamil – Fluent

    • English – Proficient
