Purchase Executive

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Engineer to manage procurement operations for mechanical and industrial components. The ideal candidate will ensure timely sourcing, quality compliance, and cost-effective purchasing to support smooth production and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for valves, fittings, flanges, pipes, and mechanical components

• Floating inquiries, obtaining quotations, and performing technical & commercial comparison

• Negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors

• Preparing purchase orders and ensuring timely material delivery

• Coordinating with store, design, and production teams to meet inventory and project requirements

• Handling vendor management, performance evaluation, and corrective actions

• Maintaining updated documentation in ERP systems (POs, GRNs, pricing records, etc.)

• Working with QA/QC team to ensure compliance with technical specifications and standards

• Tracking and maintaining optimum stock levels to avoid shortages or over-procurement

• Monitoring logistics, dispatches, and resolving supply chain issues

• Cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality and delivery

Skills & Qualifications

• BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)

• Min. 2+ years experience in purchasing industrial/engineering products

• Strong understanding of valves, piping materials, and mechanical components

• Vendor development and negotiation skills

• Knowledge of ERP/Purchase software (SAP / Tally / Zoho etc.)

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Analytical and problem-solving mindset

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 2 - 6+ years Experience.
