Could you be the full-time EPU Manager in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, we’re looking for? Your future role Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership and lean manufacturing expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates. You'll play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in our Motor Assembly production unit. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams (such as supply chain, quality, and engineering), train and coach team members, and ensure the smooth execution of production plans, and much more. You’ll specifically take care of deploying APSYS tools (Alstom Performance System) across the shopfloor, but also managing workforce planning and driving SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) performance. We’ll look to you for: Deploying APSYS tools and methodologies to enhance production efficiency. Training operators on manufacturing processes and self-inspection techniques. Proactively planning and managing workforce requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Monitoring and driving SQCD performance metrics within the EPU. Resolving internal and external quality issues through containment, root cause analysis, and QRQC/QC Story methodologies. Tracking, analyzing, and improving SQCD KPIs through structured continuous improvement actions. Ensuring timely issue escalation using appropriate tools and reporting systems. Implementing product and process changes as required (CR/ECR/DR/Retrofit). Driving issue closure and sustaining improvements through robust action plans. All about you We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, or related disciplines). Minimum 5+ years of experience in assembly industries such as automotive, railways, commercial vehicles, or other manufacturing sectors. Proven experience in shopfloor team management. Hands-on exposure to lean production systems and foundational supply chain concepts. Knowledge of production and quality tools, including PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions. Familiarity with PDCA, SWIP, and structured problem-solving methodologies. Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams. Awareness of OH&S regulations and production quality metrics. Flexibility to work in a shift-based schedule and availability to work 6 days a week. Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also: Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines. Work with cutting-edge production and lean systems in the rail industry. Collaborate with supportive and motivated colleagues across departments. Contribute to innovative projects that shape the future of mobility. Utilise our dynamic and inclusive working environment. Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries. Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning programs. Progress towards leadership and specialized roles within the organization. Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension). You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
