Role Overview:

We are looking for a Manufacturing & Production Manager to oversee and streamline our end-to-end production operations. This includes production planning, team management, quality control, inventory handling, and workshop administration.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in bag, accessory, leather, or apparel manufacturing and the ability to manage both people and processes efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Production Management

• Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly production runs as per sales and inventory forecasts.

• Coordinate with design and sales teams to prioritize SKUs and collections.

• Maintain quality control across all production stages — cutting, stitching, printing, finishing, and packaging.

• Ensure on-time production delivery with minimal wastage.

🔹 Team Supervision

• Lead and motivate craftspeople, printers, and stitching teams to achieve production targets.

• Track attendance, productivity, and performance metrics.

• Resolve workshop issues promptly and maintain a positive, efficient work environment.

🔹 Inventory & Procurement

• Monitor raw material stock levels, consumption rates, and reorder points.

• Manage finished goods and work-in-progress (WIP) inventories.

• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely material availability.

🔹 Workshop & Operations Management

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and equipment in the workshop.

• Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

• Maintain production documentation, HR records, and operational reports.

🔹 Reporting & Documentation

• Keep updated production logs, costing sheets, and batch tracking.

• Prepare reports on inventory, productivity, and wastage for management review.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Graduate (any discipline; background in manufacturing preferred).

• Experience: 3–6+ years in production management (bags, accessories, footwear, or apparel).

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of natural material and leather goods production processes.

• Software: Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets; comfortable with WhatsApp and basic digital tools.

• Languages: Fluency in Hindi and/or Bengali; working knowledge of English for documentation.

• Location: Kolkata

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with artisan clusters or craft-based production units.

• Exposure to sustainable fashion, ethical manufacturing, or eco-friendly design ecosystems.
