The Production Manager/Incharge is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production floor. This includes planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to standard. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of production processes and safety regulations.
Supervise and manage production staff to meet daily/weekly/monthly production targets.
Develop production schedules and allocate resources accordingly.
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
Ensure that production is cost-effective and meets quality standards.
Minimize waste and downtime by improving efficiency and productivity.
Maintain proper documentation of production data, reports, and logs.
Coordinate with quality control, maintenance, and logistics departments.
Ensure the implementation of health and safety procedures.
Train new employees and ensure ongoing skill development of the production team.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in a production supervisory or incharge role.
Experience in [insert specific industry if applicable, e.g., textile, FMCG, automotive, etc.]
Knowledge of manufacturing tools, lean production techniques, and safety standards.
