Production Manager

Job Summary

The Plant Head is responsible for leading all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, supply chain coordination, safety, and people management. The role focuses on achieving production targets, improving operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall plant operations to achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.

• Develop and implement production plans in coordination with planning and supply chain teams.

• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.

• Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and Kaizen initiatives.

• Monitor plant KPIs such as OEE, productivity, yield, downtime, scrap, and cost per unit.

• Manage production, maintenance, quality assurance, engineering, stores, and logistics functions.

• Prepare and manage plant budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost optimization opportunities.

• Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance programs are effectively implemented.

• Develop and mentor department heads and build a high-performance workforce.

• Maintain high product quality standards and customer satisfaction.

• Coordinate with procurement, sales, finance, HR, and R&D to support business objectives.

• Lead capacity planning, expansion projects, and new product introductions.

• Review daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, audits, and customer requirements.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and employee engagement.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering.

• 8 to 10 years of manufacturing experience.
