Job Summary :- The Production Manager will oversee and manage daily production operations, production planning, workforce supervision, and process optimization. The role ensures production targets are met with high quality standards, safety compliance, and efficient resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

• Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.

• Ensure production targets are met within time, cost, and quality parameters.

• Coordinate with other departments (Procurement, QA/QC, Maintenance) for smooth operations.

2. Process Optimization & Efficiency

• Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.

• Implement process improvements, cost reduction, and waste minimization strategies.

• Optimize manpower and machine utilization.

3. Quality Control

• Ensure production meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to reduce defects and rework.

• Maintain records of quality inspections and deviations.

4. Workforce Management

• Supervise and guide production supervisors and operators.

• Ensure proper manpower allocation, training, and shift coordination.

• Monitor team performance and implement corrective actions if needed.

5. Equipment & Maintenance Coordination

• Ensure machines and equipment are properly maintained and operational.

• Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.

• Support preventive maintenance schedules.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety and environmental regulations on the shop floor.

• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and factory regulations.

7. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and submit production reports, MIS, and performance dashboards.

• Track production KPIs, including output, efficiency, downtime, and waste.

• Provide updates and recommendations to Factory Manager. Key Skills & Competencies

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Production/Industrial) or equivalent

• MBA / Diploma in Production or Operations Management preferred Experience

• Proven experience managing production teams and plant operations

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing or multi-location operations preferred

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 6+ years of experience.
