Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise fabrication activities including cutting, welding, assembly, and finishing operations.

• Interpret and analyze technical drawings, fabrication blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production.

• Monitor and control production workflow to meet deadlines and production targets.

• Collaborate with design, quality control, and procurement teams to ensure seamless operations.

• Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.

• Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards (ISO, OSHA, etc.).

• Monitor equipment performance and assist in scheduling maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.

• Prepare and maintain production reports and documentation.

• Train, mentor, and supervise shop floor staff and technicians.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.

• 2 to 3 years of experience in fabrication production, manufacturing, or a related engineering role.

• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes such as welding, cutting, bending, and assembly.

• Familiarity with CNC machines, shop floor tools, and manufacturing equipment.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks preferred).

• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and team management abilities.

• Knowledge of safety standards and quality control procedures.

Preferred

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

• Certifications in welding, safety, or production management.

• Hands-on experience in implementing 5S or Kaizen initiatives.
