Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Control:

   • Develop and implement production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.

   • Coordinate with planning, purchase, and sales teams to align production with business requirements.

   • Monitor daily production activities and ensure targets are achieved.

2. Resource Management:

   • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

   • Oversee maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime.

   • Plan and manage workforce shifts for uninterrupted production.

3. Quality Assurance:

   • Implement and enforce quality control standards in production.

   • Work with the QA/QC team to address non-conformance and customer complaints.

   • Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.

4. Process Improvement:

   • Identify areas for process improvements and cost optimization.

   • Implement lean manufacturing principles and other efficiency-boosting methodologies.

   • Lead Kaizen and 5S initiatives on the shop floor.

5. Team Management:

   • Supervise and mentor production supervisors, line leaders, and operators.

   • Conduct training programs to enhance team capabilities.

   • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

6. Reporting & Documentation:

   • Maintain production reports, downtime logs, and performance metrics.

   • Prepare monthly production performance reports for management review.

   • Ensure ERP data is updated in real-time.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.

• Skills:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in production planning tools and ERP systems.

  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems.

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and drive process improvements.
