Production Planning & Execution

• Plan and execute daily production activities for sheet metal components.

• Review engineering drawings and production plans to ensure feasibility.

• Coordinate with design, quality, and purchase teams for smooth workflow.

• Ensure production targets, timelines, and quality standards are met.

2. Sheet Metal Fabrication Processes

• Hands-on knowledge of fabrication processes including:

  • Laser cutting

  • Bending (CNC press brake)

  • Shearing

  • Punching

  • Welding (TIG / MIG / Spot Welding)

  • Grinding & finishing

• Develop process sheets and optimize manufacturing steps.

3. Process Improvement

• Identify bottlenecks and implement lean manufacturing / Kaizen techniques.

• Improve production efficiency, reduce rework, and minimize material wastage.

• Suggest design changes to improve manufacturability (DFM).

4. Material & Resource Management

• Monitor material consumption and reduce scrap.

• Ensure timely availability of tools, jigs, fixtures, and materials.

• Coordinate with stores and purchase for material planning.

5. Quality Control & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.

• Conduct in-process inspections to ensure accuracy of dimensions and finish.

• Collaborate with the QC team to resolve defects and quality issues.

6. Team Management

• Supervise operators, welders, and machine technicians.

• Provide training on machine operations, safety, and SOPs.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety guidelines.
