Key Responsibilities:
1. Assembly Line & Manpower Supervision:
● Manage day-to-day assembly operations, ensuring that targets for quantity, quality, and timelines are met.
● Supervise a team of operators, assign tasks, and ensure optimal utilization of manpower across shifts.
● Provide on-the-job training to workers on assembly procedures and safety protocols.
2. Process Improvement & Equipment Upgrades:
● Identify bottlenecks in the assembly workflow and suggest improvements to increase throughout and efficiency.
● Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to plan
3. SOPs & Quality Control:
● Prepare and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all assembly processes.
● Develop quality control (QC) checkpoints and ensure adherence to quality standards.
● Conduct routine checks to ensure proper implementation of SOPs and first-pass yield targets.
4. Rejection Analysis & Corrective Action:
● Analyze cases of product rejection or failure, identify root causes, and drive process-level corrections.
● Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and monitor effectiveness.
5. Time Sheet & Cost Monitoring:
● Maintain accurate daily time sheets and attendance records of assembly staff.
● Assist in tracking labor productivity and process-related costs to support cost optimization efforts.
6. Housekeeping & 5S Implementation:
● Ensure the shop floor remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety and hygiene standards.
● Promote and maintain 5S workplace practices and structured storage of tools, components, and products.
Requirements:
● 3–6 years of experience supervising assembly lines or shop floors in electronics or light manufacturing.
● Proven ability to manage a team of technicians/operators and enforce discipline and accountability
● Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen,, and basic quality tools.
● Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and production tracking software or ERP systems.
● Strong communication and leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
