Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Control

   • Prepare and execute daily/weekly/monthly production plans.

   • Monitor output vs. targets (OEE, cycle time, efficiency).

   • Coordinate with maintenance, tool room, and quality teams to minimize downtime.

2. Operations Management

   • Manage shop floor activities, shift planning, and manpower allocation.

   • Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and ISO requirements.

   • Oversee machine utilization and preventive maintenance coordination.

3. Quality & Continuous Improvement

   • Monitor in-process quality, reduce rejections, and drive root-cause analysis.

   • Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and cost-saving initiatives.

   • Collaborate with QA for corrective & preventive actions.

4. Team Leadership

   • Lead, train, and motivate supervisors/operators for high performance.

   • Ensure discipline, attendance, and productivity of team members.

   • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

5. Reporting & Coordination

   • Report daily production, downtime, and rejection data to management.

   • Coordinate with purchase, stores, and dispatch for material & delivery alignment.

   • Support NPD (New Product Development) trials and smooth production ramp-up.
