Job Description: Production Manager – Ready Mix Concrete (RMC)

Role Overview:

The RMC Production Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end plant operations, optimizing daily concrete batching, managing inventory, maintaining machinery, and ensuring high-quality, on-time concrete dispatch to construction sites.

Core Responsibilities

Plant Operations & Dispatch: Supervise automated concrete batching, maintain daily output targets, and coordinate transit mixer (TM) dispatch schedules to ensure on-time delivery.

Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QC teams to monitor concrete slump, mix designs, water-cement ratios, aggregate moisture, and compressive strength compliance.

Inventory & Procurement: Track stock levels for cement, fly ash, aggregates, and admixtures to prevent stock-outs; reconcile material usage to minimize wastage.

Maintenance & Uptime: Oversee preventive maintenance and calibration of batching plant components, weigh hoppers, silos, and conveyors to maximize plant availability.

Safety & Compliance: Enforce site safety (PPE, silo pressure checks) and environmental standards (dust suppression, slurry recycling).

Team Management: Lead batch operators, mechanics, helpers, and drivers; prepare daily production and downtime MIS reports.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

Education: B.Tech / Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 5–10 years in RMC plant operations, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.

Key Skills: Concrete mix design, batching automation software (Schwing Stetter, Liebherr, Command Alkon), plant maintenance, and fleet logistics.
