Production Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations in the engineering industry. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, resource optimization, quality control, and ensuring timely delivery of engineering products while maintaining safety and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans as per order schedules and project timelines

• Manage fabrication, machining, assembly, and testing operations

• Ensure adherence to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards

• Monitor daily production targets and ensure on-time delivery

• Optimize machine utilization, manpower allocation, and workflow efficiency

• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices

• Coordinate with Design, Purchase, Quality, and Stores departments

• Control production costs and minimize material wastage

• Monitor WIP (Work-in-Progress) and ensure smooth production flow

• Ensure preventive maintenance planning to reduce downtime

• Maintain compliance with safety standards and statutory regulations

• Prepare MIS reports and production performance analysis

• Lead, train, and motivate production supervisors and shop-floor workers

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

2-4 years of experience in engineering/manufacturing industry

Strong knowledge of fabrication, machining, assembly, and production processes

Experience in ERP systems and production planning tools

Key Skills:

• Production Planning & Control (PPC)

• Technical drawing interpretation

• Process optimization

• Cost control & budgeting

• Quality management systems (ISO standards knowledge preferred)

• Strong leadership and team management

• Analytical and problem-solving skills
