Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor twin-screw extruder and associated equipment.

• Handle raw-material feeding, heating/cooling systems and strainer systems.

• Monitor temperature, pressure, screw speed, feed rate, torque and throughput.

• Perform extrusion line start-up and shutdown as per SOP.

• Identify and troubleshoot process abnormalities such as pressure/temperature fluctuations, blockage, vibration and abnormal equipment conditions.

• Maintain production records, shift reports and parameter logs.

• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and R&D teams.

• Follow 5S, PPE, SOP and plant safety requirements.

• Support machine cleaning, changeover and preventive maintenance activities.

• Minimize production losses, material wastage and machine downtime.

Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in:

• Chemical Engineering

• Polymer Engineering

• Mechanical Engineering

• Production Engineering

• Related Engineering disciplines

Experience

2–5 years preferred in:

• Extrusion

• Twin-screw extrusion

• Plastic processing

• Rubber processing

• Polymer processing

• Compounding

• Continuous process manufacturing

Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of extrusion/process parameters

• Basic PLC / HMI knowledge

• Machine troubleshooting

• Production process understanding

• Safety and quality awareness

• Willingness to work in 24×7 rotational shifts
