Job Title: Production Engineer – Sheet Metal Fabrication

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Production Engineer with expertise in sheet metal fabrication to oversee and optimize manufacturing processes, ensure timely production, and maintain quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing sheet metal operations including cutting, bending, welding, and surface finishing, as well as working knowledge of lean manufacturing and production planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities to meet targets.

• Coordinate with design, quality, and procurement teams to ensure smooth production flow.

• Optimize processes for laser cutting, turret punching, bending, MIG/TIG welding, and assembly operations.

• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

• Monitor and improve production efficiency, cost, and product quality.

• Implement lean manufacturing practices and 5S in the production area.

• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Prepare and maintain production-related documentation (job cards, route sheets, etc.).

• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards (ISO/TS certifications if applicable).

• Train and guide machine operators and production staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• 2–5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering company.

• Knowledge of fabrication processes like laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, and powder coating.

• Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning tools.

• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and fabrication tolerances.

• Strong understanding of materials (MS, SS, Al) and surface finishes.
