Key Responsibilities Order Initiation: Generate and assign unique Job Order IDs for all incoming manufacturing requirements. Process Planning: Create detailed Process Sheets (routings) outlining the exact sequence of machining operations and estimated timelines for each job. Digital Tracking: Log newly created Process Sheets into the central digital Process Sheet Tracker to maintain a live view of shop floor workload. Floor Coordination & Monitoring: Follow up continuously with the Workshop Manager on the shop floor to observe operations and ensure jobs are running exactly as planned. Time Variance Analysis & Reporting: Collect finished Process Sheets upon job completion. Compare the Estimated Time versus the Actual Time taken. If a job exceeds the time limit, investigate where the time was lost and discuss root causes (e.g., tooling issues, machine setup delays) with the CTO and Workshop Manager. Data Management for Continuous Improvement: Digitally record the updated, finalized operation times for each process. Maintain this historical data to ensure accurate workflow planning and quoting for future repeat orders. Candidate Profile & Qualifications Education: Diploma in Tool and Die Making or B.Tech/B.E. in Production, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. Experience: Fresher (0–1 years). Internship experience in a machine shop, tool room, or production environment is highly preferred. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of machining processes (VMC, Milling, Turning, Grinding) to create accurate process sheets. Comfortable reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings. Software Skills: Proficiency in digital tracking tools (Google Sheets / MS Excel) for managing process trackers and recording time logs. Soft Skills & Traits: Strong analytical mindset with a focus on time-studies and process optimization. Excellent communication skills to e ectively collaborate with both the shop-floor Workshop Manager and the executive-level CTO.
