Plant Head

We are looking for a Plant Head to join our team Arvind Automotive India Pvt. Ltd. The role involves operating machinery, assembling products and maintaining quality standards on the production floor. This position offers an in-hand salary of @95000/- and an opportunity to be part of a growing and essential industry.

Note: The candidate should have knowledge of manufacturing Sheet Metal Components, Heavy Fabricated Assemblies & Sub-Assemblies, Shims, and Shock Absorber Valves."

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Management

• Oversee daily plant operations to meet production targets and deadlines.

• Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

• Monitor key metrics like output, downtime, rejection rates, and efficiency.

2. Quality Assurance

• Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.

• Collaborate with the Quality Head to implement quality systems like ISO, IATF.

• Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis for defects or failures.

3. Maintenance & Asset Management

• Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines and utilities.

• Monitor equipment performance and implement upgrades when required.

4. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Enforce strict adherence to safety norms and environmental regulations.

• Conduct safety audits, training, and accident prevention measures.

5. Manpower & Team Management

• Lead and motivate the plant workforce, including supervisors and operators.

• Resolve HR issues and ensure discipline, morale, and productivity.

• Identify training needs and ensure skill development.

6. Cost Control

• Monitor plant budgets and control operational costs.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities in processes, materials, and energy usage.

7. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

• Coordinate with stores, purchase, and supply chain for raw materials and dispatches.

• Monitor WIP (Work-in-progress) and inventory levels to avoid delays or overstock.

8. Compliance & Audits

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Labour, EHS, Factory Act).

• Lead internal and external audits (customer audits, ISO audits, etc.).

9. Strategic Planning & Reporting

• Align plant operations with business goals and production planning.

• Report key performance indicators (KPIs) to top management.

• Support in capacity expansion, new project implementation, and automation.

10. Customer Coordination

• Support customer visits, audits, and production-related discussions.

• Ensure on-time delivery and address customer complaints effectively.
