Job Description

Core ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning and Management: Plan, organize, and direct daily/weekly/monthly production targets to meet customer specifications and deadlines.Process Improvement & Efficiency: Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to reduce waste, optimize workflows, and enhance productivity (Kaizen).Quality Control & Compliance: Establish and monitor quality standards (KPIs), conduct regular audits, and ensure all operations adhere to health, safety (OSHA), and environmental regulations.Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Oversee material procurement, plan inventory levels, and coordinate the supply chain to prevent bottlenecks and ensure a steady flow of materials.Budgeting and Financial Management: Manage operational budgets, analyze financial data, identify cost-cutting opportunities, and report on financial performance to senior management.Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor production and supporting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.Equipment and Facilities Oversight: Plan for equipment maintenance schedules, recommend machinery upgrades, and manage the physical space.Qualifications and skillsEducation: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like engineering or management is required, with an MBA or master's degree being an advantage.Experience: Typically requires several years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least some of that time in a supervisory role.Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential. Experience with quality management systems and process optimization methodologies is highly desirable.
