Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and result-oriented Operations Manager to lead and streamline our end-to-end modular furniture operations. In this role, you will be the backbone of our execution cycle—overseeing factory production, site installations, material supply chains, quality control, and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate possesses deep domain knowledge of the modular furniture industry, proven team leadership capabilities, and an understanding of contemporary market trends and technical modular fittings.

Site Execution & Installation Management

• Supervise on-site installation teams and contractors to guarantee on-time, flawless handover to clients.

• Conduct initial site recce/measurement verification checks to identify civil, plumbing, or electrical mismatches before dispatch.

• Manage snag lists efficiently and ensure instant troubleshooting during installation.

3. Team Management & Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team including production supervisors, machine operators, CAD/Cam designers, and site fitters/carpenters.

• Set operational KPIs, balance workloads, and track daily team productivity.

• Conduct safety drills and standard operating procedure (SOP) training for factory and field staff.

4. Supply Chain, Procurement & Inventory Control

• Manage stock levels for boards, edge-band tapes, adhesives, and hardware (hinges, drawer channels, tandem boxes, lift-ups, sliding systems).

• Build and maintain vendor relationships with hardware brands (Hettich, Hafele, Ebco, Blum, etc.) to negotiate optimal pricing and ensure timely deliveries.

• Minimize raw material pilferage, damage, and inventory holding costs.

5. Product Market Understanding & Quality Assurance (QA/QC)

• Maintain deep market awareness of modern kitchen layouts (island, parallel, L-shape), carcass construction standards, shutter finishes (acrylic, PU, laminate, glass), and hardware trends.

• Enforce strict quality control standards at two critical checkpoints: Pre-dispatch (factory stage) and Post-installation (client handover stage).

Key Skills & Competencies

• Domain Expertise: Thorough understanding of modular furniture construction, joinery (Minifix, dowels, confirmat screws), carcass sizing, and shutter clearances.

• Hardware & Fitting Knowledge: Deep practical familiarity with premium hardware mechanisms (soft-close hinges, tandem drawers, corner solutions, pantry pull-outs).

• Leadership & Conflict Resolution: Proven ability to handle blue-collar factory staff, on-site carpenters, and communicate professionally with clients and architects.

• Technical Acumen: Ability to interpret CAD drawings, 2D/3D cutlists, and architectural layouts.

• Cost & Time Optimization: Track record of reducing production bottlenecks, controlling wastage, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 4 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in the Modular Furniture / Modular Kitchen / Interior Execution industry, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Production/Mechanical Engineering, Wood Technology, Interior Design, or Bachelor’s in Business Administration/Operations (Equivalent practical experience valued).

• Software Skills: Basic working proficiency with MS Office / Excel, cutting optimizer software, and familiarity with CAD/CAM drawing tools.

• Language: Fluent in Marathi and Hindi; professional English communication skills.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 3 - 6 years of experience.
