The Sheet Metal Tooling Development Engineer is responsible for designing and developing tooling solutions for sheet metal components. This role ensures precision, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in the manufacturing process. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production workflows and maintain quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
● Design and develop tooling solutions for sheet metal components, including tools, dies, and jigs.
● Create technical drawings and blueprints for tooling designs.
● Collaborate with manufacturing teams to test and refine tooling designs.
● Analyze production challenges and recommend process improvements.
Conduct quality assurance checks on tools and processes.
Job requirements and skills
● Completed Diploma or Degree with 2 to 10 years of experience
● Proven experience in tool design and sheet metal manufacturing.
● Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks).
● Knowledge of sheet metal processes (e.g., stamping, Forming, drawing, laser cutting).
Strong problem-solving skills and communication abilities.
