Milling Operator

Job Responsibilities

1. Operate conventional milling machines to perform milling, cutting, facing, and surface-finishing operations on steel materials.

2. Read and understand engineering drawings, measurements, and job specifications.

3. Perform accurate machining as per required dimensions and tolerances.

4. Select and use appropriate cutting tools, cutters, and machine accessories.

5. Measure finished jobs using Vernier calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.

6. Ensure the quality and dimensional accuracy of machined steel components.

7. Handle steel plates, blocks, and other raw materials carefully during machining.

8. Maintain machine cleanliness and follow safety procedures.

9. Identify machining defects or machine problems and report them to the supervisor.

10. Complete assigned jobs within the specified production schedule.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• ITI / relevant technical qualification preferred.

• Previous experience operating a milling machine in a steel or engineering workshop.

• Knowledge of steel grades, machining processes, and measuring instruments.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.

• Attention to detail, discipline, and commitment to workplace safety.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 2 - 4 years of experience.
