Mechanical draughtsman

Role Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience to support the design, fabrication, and execution of mechanical systems used in electrocoating and filtration applications. The role involves design, coordination with vendors, and site execution support.

Key Responsibilities:

· Prepare mechanical designs, 2D/3D models, fabrication drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

· Coordinate with suppliers and fabricators for material readiness and mechanical assembly.

· Inspect mechanical parts and assemblies for quality, dimensions, and tolerance.

· Assist in installation and commissioning of PT/CED systems and other mechanical equipment at customer sites.

· Collaborate with Electrical, Quality, and Project teams to ensure alignment in execution.

· Support internal manufacturing and workshop activities for prototype assembly or system integration.

· Update design documentation and BOM based on changes during execution.

· Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance of systems at the Dharuhera plant.

· Ensure adherence to safety practices and engineering standards.

Required Skills:

· Knowledge of fabrication processes, mechanical systems, tanks, pipelines, and support structures.

· Hands-on experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).

· Understanding of tolerances, surface finishes, and general GD&T principles.

· Good coordination and communication skills for vendor and site management.

· Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems is a plus.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

· 1–2 years of experience in equipment/system fabrication or mechanical design (preferably in automotive or paint shop industry).

· Willingness to travel to customer sites for mechanical installation and support.
