A Mechanical Designer is responsible for creating, developing, and refining mechanical components, systems, and assemblies. This role focuses on translating engineering concepts and requirements into detailed designs, drawings, and models using CAD software, while ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and compliance with standards.
Create 2D and 3D mechanical designs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo)
Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs)
Collaborate with mechanical engineers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders
Modify and improve existing designs based on testing, feedback, or manufacturing constraints
Ensure designs meet performance, safety, quality, and cost requirements
Support prototyping, testing, and design validation processes
Follow industry standards and company design guidelines
Maintain accurate design documentation and revision control
