The Site Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, installation, and commissioning of laboratory equipment and furniture. This position requires a blend of engineering expertise, project management skills, and a keen understanding of laboratory environments to deliver innovative solutions that meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Design Collaboration: Work closely with design teams to translate laboratory requirements into feasible designs for equipment and furniture.
· Project Management: Oversee the project lifecycle from planning and design through to installation and commissioning, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
· Site Preparation: Assess site conditions and prepare installation plans that account for space, utilities, and compliance with safety regulations.
· Installation Oversight: Direct on-site installation activities, ensuring that all equipment and furniture are installed correctly and efficiently.
· Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and tests to verify that installations meet design specifications and operational requirements.
· Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients throughout the project to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with the final product.
· Training and Support: Provide training to laboratory staff on the use and maintenance of newly installed equipment and furniture.
· Documentation Management: Maintain detailed records of projects, including installation plans, compliance documentation, and maintenance manuals.
Qualifications:
· Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Mechanical.
· Proven experience in site engineering, specifically in laboratory environments or custom furniture production.
· Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and regulations.
Skills:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent project management and organizational skills.
· Proficient in CAD software and other design tools.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Working Conditions:
· Travel to various job sites may be required, with potential for extended hours during installations.
· Work may involve use of tools and machinery.
