Manufacturing Site Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and allocate daily work to press shop operators to achieve production targets.

• Supervise operations of mechanical, pneumatic.

• Ensure proper usage and maintenance of dies, tools, and fixtures.

• Monitor quality of components produced; conduct random checks using gauges and instruments.

• Implement and enforce safety practices (two-hand press operation, guards, PPE, etc.).

• Train operators on machine operation, safety, and quality requirements.

• Ensure proper documentation of production, rejections, and downtime.

• Coordinate with maintenance team for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.

• Implement 5S, Kaizen, TPM and other continuous improvement activities.

• Control rejection, rework, and wastage within acceptable limits.

• Report daily production and issues to higher management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of press shop operations (mechanical/pneumatic presses).

• Understanding of sheet metal process, tooling, and die setting.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Leadership and manpower management skills.

• Knowledge of quality systems (ISO/TS/IATF).

• Problem-solving and decision-making ability.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical / Production (Engineering preferred).

• 2-4 years of experience in press shop operations, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
