Job Description

Job Title : Site In-Charge – Painting & Coating

Project Location: Kattupalli, Chennai

Job Role

Responsible for supervising painting & coating production and quality activities at site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and as per approved standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise painting & coating works (Epoxy, Polyurethane, Powder Coating)

• Manage surface preparation: Sand Blasting, Shot Blasting, Priming, Acid Etching

• Control paint application: Spray, Brush, Roller, Dipping, Electrostatic

• Carry out inspections: DFT, WFT, Surface Profile, Dust & Salt Tests

• Ensure compliance with ISO 12944, NACE, SSPC standards

• Coordinate with client, QA/QC team, and subcontractors

• Maintain daily site and inspection records

Requirements

• Diploma / BE in Mechanical or related field

• 2–6+ years experience in painting & coating works for Oil & Gas / Hydrocarbon projects

• Good knowledge of site execution and quality control

• Experience in L&T or EPC projects preferred
