Job Description: Transit Mixer Supervisor

Location: UltraTech Cement, Wagholi Plant

Position Overview

The Transit Mixer Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, scheduling, and maintenance of transit mixers (TM) to ensure timely and safe delivery of Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) from the Wagholi plant to various project sites. The role involves managing drivers, monitoring vehicle performance, coordinating with dispatch and plant operations, and ensuring compliance with company safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Dispatch:

Plan and allocate transit mixers as per daily delivery schedules.

Monitor loading and unloading at plant and site to ensure efficiency and minimum turnaround time.

Coordinate with batching plant, site engineers, and customers for smooth RMC supply.

Supervision & Team Management:

Supervise and guide TM drivers/operators.

Conduct regular tool-box talks and safety briefings.

Monitor driver behavior, fuel usage, and adherence to routes.

Maintenance & Compliance:

Ensure all TMs are in good working condition and serviced as per schedule.

Report breakdowns, accidents, or delays immediately and coordinate repairs with maintenance teams.

Maintain records of vehicle documents, fitness certificates, PUC, and insurance.

Safety & Quality Control:

Enforce UltraTech’s safety protocols for vehicle operations, PPE usage, and site rules.

Ensure proper washing/cleaning of drums to avoid quality issues in concrete.

Investigate and resolve operational issues related to delivery delays, spillage, or safety concerns.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain logbooks of daily trips, fuel consumption, and mixer utilization.

Submit reports on transit mixer productivity, downtime, and manpower.

Support audits, inspections, and compliance checks.
