They are responsible for rigging, maneuvering, and working from elevated, suspended platforms (cradles or swing stages) to perform exterior tasks like facade painting, glass installation, plastering, and window washing on high-rise structures
Key Responsibilities
Rigging and Setup: Safely assemble and secure suspension mechanisms, counterweights, and steel wire ropes on the roof or overhead structures.
Equipment Operation: Operate electric or manual hoists to raise, lower, and position the platform smoothly alongside the building's exterior.
Site Execution: Perform specific trade tasks at heights, including exterior wall plastering, painting, glazing, sealants, and facade cleaning.
Safety & Compliance: Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of safety locks, limit switches, and wire ropes. Enforce weight capacity limits and secure fall-protection harnesses at all times.
Maintenance: Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on hoists, electrical panels, and rigging gear
