Job Summary:
The Filling & Labelling Operator is responsible for accurately filling containers (such as bottles, tubes, jars, or vials) with products and applying correct labels as per specifications. The role includes machine operation, quality control, basic troubleshooting, and adherence to production targets and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Filling Operations
· Operate filling machines to dispense product into containers per batch specifications.
· Ensure correct fill levels and proper sealing of containers.
· Monitor machine performance and product consistency during operation.
· Adjust equipment settings to accommodate different product types, sizes, and volumes.
· Clean and sanitize filling machines before and after product changeovers.
Labelling Operations
· Operate labelling equipment to apply labels accurately and consistently.
· Verify label alignment, content, and adherence to regulatory standards.
· Inspect for label defects such as misprints, peeling, or incorrect placement.
· Change label rolls and machine settings as per batch requirements.
General Duties
· Perform in-process quality checks and complete documentation accurately.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area following 5S and GMP standards.
· Identify and report equipment issues or irregularities promptly.
· Collaborate with maintenance and QA teams for troubleshooting and compliance.
· Support line changeovers and assist in packaging and boxing as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Set up, operate, and monitor tube filling machines according to production schedules.
2. Ensure proper loading of packaging materials (e.g., plastic/aluminium tubes, caps, labels).
3. Adjust machine settings for different product types and tube sizes.
4. Perform quality checks, including fill weight, seal integrity, and labelling accuracy.
5. Detect and resolve equipment issues or escalate to maintenance as needed.
6. Maintain production records and complete batch documentation accurately.
7. Clean and sanitize equipment and work area before and after shifts or product changes.
8. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
9. Assist with line changeovers and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding issues or improvements.
