Job Title:

Pillow Packaging Machine Operator / Flow Wrap Machine Operator

Job Purpose:

To operate, monitor, and maintain pillow-type packaging machines used for packing products such as snacks, bakery items, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, and hardware. Ensures efficient machine performance, proper sealing, accurate packaging, and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Operation

• Set up, start, and stop the pillow packaging machine.

• Adjust machine parameters such as temperature, film feed, sealing pressure, speed, and product guides.

• Load packaging materials (films, wrapping rolls) and ensure smooth feeding.

2. Monitoring & Quality Control

• Inspect product packaging for proper sealing, shape, print alignment, and dimensions.

• Check for defects such as air leakage, improper sealing, or incorrect film registration.

• Perform regular visual quality checks and record findings.

3. Troubleshooting & Maintenance

• Identify and resolve minor machine faults (film tearing, jams, sensor issues).

• Replace or adjust worn-out parts, belts, and cutting blades when needed.

• Report major breakdowns to maintenance technicians.

4. Production Efficiency

• Maintain production rates and reduce downtime.

• Coordinate with the production team to ensure steady product flow to the machine.

• Keep accurate daily production logs (output, scrap, machine stops).

5. Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety protocols while operating machinery.

• Keep the machine and surrounding areas clean.

• Comply with manufacturing standards (GMP, ISO, food safety norms depending on industry).
