Job Title: Hoist Operator – Semi-Skilled

Job Summary:

The Hoist Operator (Semi-Skilled) will be responsible for operating hoist machinery to lift, move, and position materials or products safely and efficiently, following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate hoist equipment to lift, transport, and position loads as per instructions.

• Ensure proper rigging and secure attachment of loads.

• Conduct basic pre-operational checks on hoist equipment.

• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE during operations.

• Assist in minor maintenance and cleaning of hoist equipment.

• Report equipment defects or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

• Maintain operational logs and record movement details if required.

• Support other production/maintenance tasks as assigned.

Skills & Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of hoist operation and safety procedures.

• Ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions.

• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

• Awareness of load limits and balance requirements.

• Basic mechanical aptitude.

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum: 10th standard pass (or equivalent).

• 1–2 years’ experience in hoist operation or material handling preferred.

• Certification in hoist/crane operation (if applicable) is an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically fit to handle equipment operation.

• Comfortable with standing for long periods and working in industrial environments.

Work Environment:

• Factory / warehouse / construction site.

• May require shift work, overtime, or weekend duty as per production needs.
