Machine Operator

A Machine Operator sets up, operates, and maintains machinery in manufacturing to produce goods, monitoring performance, conducting quality checks, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Key duties include machine setup and adjustments, material feeding, output inspection, basic repairs, troubleshooting, and maintaining clean and safe work areas to ensure efficiency and product quality. 

Responsibilities

• 
  Machine Setup & Operation:

  Prepare machines for production by setting up equipment and adjusting controls according to production specifications and blueprints. 

• Production Monitoring:

  Operate machinery safely and efficiently, monitoring its performance to ensure smooth operation and meet productivity targets. 

• Quality Control:

  Conduct periodic checks on output, inspect finished products for defects, and perform quality checks to meet high standards. 

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machines, identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, and make minor repairs or replace defective parts. 

• Material Management:

  Measure raw materials and feed them into machines, ensuring the machines are well-stocked to avoid interruptions. 

• Safety & Compliance:

  Adhere to safety protocols, maintain a clean and safe work area, and report any malfunctions or safety concerns. 

• Record Keeping:

  Maintain accurate activity logs and records of defective units or production issues. 

• Teamwork:

  Communicate effectively with supervisors and the production team to ensure efficient workflow and address any issues promptly. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical Aptitude:

  Understanding of production machinery and mechanical systems. 

• Attention to Detail:

  Crucial for setting up machines, conducting quality checks, and performing precise adjustments. 

• Problem-Solving Skills:

  Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during machine operation and perform minor repairs. 

• Physical Stamina:

  Required for tasks that involve standing for long periods or handling materials. 

• Technical Knowledge:

  Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and understand production processes. 

• Teamwork & Communication:

  Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues to supervisors.
