Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor reciprocating ammonia compressors and chillers.
Check suction pressure, discharge pressure, oil pressure, oil level and operating temperatures.
Monitor vibration, unusual noise, ice formation and abnormal operating conditions.
Follow compressor starting, running and shutdown procedures.
Maintain shift logbooks and record operating parameters.
Troubleshoot compressor faults and report abnormalities to the supervisor.
Monitor ammonia leakage and follow emergency response and safety procedures.
Perform routine inspections and support preventive maintenance.
Monitor condenser, evaporator and refrigeration system performance.
Ensure proper cooling supply for uninterrupted dairy production.
Coordinate with maintenance teams during breakdowns and scheduled servicing.
Follow plant safety procedures and ensure safe operation of refrigeration equipment
