Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Operate and monitor various packaging machines such as sachet machines (tea, zinzi, etc.), tablet packing, capsule packing, and any other packaging equipment as per production requirements.

• Parameter Control: Set, monitor, and maintain machine parameters including speed, sealing, filling accuracy, cutting, and labeling to ensure output matches quality standards.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure proper sealing, weight accuracy, batch coding, labelling, and packaging integrity at every stage of operation.

• Material Handling: Load raw materials, foils, laminates, cartons, and packing material into the machines as required and ensure efficient usage with minimal wastage.

• Production Records: Maintain accurate logs of machine operations, daily production output, material consumption, and downtime.

• SOP Compliance: Work strictly as per pharmaceutical SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) during all stages of packaging.

• Troubleshooting: Handle minor breakdowns or adjustments of machines and escalate major technical issues to the maintenance team.

• Hygiene & Safety: Maintain cleanliness of the machine and packaging area, adhere to all safety standards, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) guidelines, and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Warehouse Coordination: Ensure properly packed, labelled, and documented finished goods are handed over/ transferred to the warehouse for storage and dispatch.

• Team Coordination: Work with production supervisors, quality control, and warehouse staff to meet daily and monthly packaging targets.

• Standing Instructions: Follow all instructions provided by supervisors and department heads to ensure smooth packaging operations.

  Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: ITI (Industrial Training Institute) completion in Fitter / Mechanical / Electrical / Packaging Technology or equivalent trade (mandatory).

  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in operating packaging machines (sachet, tablet, capsule, or similar) in pharmaceutical, FMCG, or food industry preferred.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Knowledge of operating and adjusting different packaging machines.

    • Ability to record machine data and follow SOPs.

    • Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance understanding.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to understand written instructions; working knowledge of Marathi and Hindi, basic English preferred.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong focus on accuracy, timely completion of tasks, and minimizing wastage.

• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 1 - 2 years of experience.
