Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced VFFS (Vertical Form Fill Seal) Machine Operator to operate, monitor and maintain packaging machinery used for namkeen and food-product packaging. The candidate will be responsible for efficient machine operation, accurate packing, quality checks, and maintaining production and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor VFFS packaging machines efficiently.
Set machine parameters according to product, pouch size and packaging requirements.
Perform machine changeovers and basic adjustments.
Ensure correct filling weight, sealing, cutting and pouch formation.
Monitor packaging material, film alignment and sealing quality.
Identify and rectify minor machine issues during production.
Coordinate with the Production, Quality and Maintenance teams.
Maintain required production output and minimize machine downtime.
Check finished pouches for leakage, improper sealing, incorrect weight and other defects.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the machine and surrounding production area.
Follow food safety, hygiene, GMP and company SOPs.
Maintain production records, machine logs and shift reports.
Follow all workplace safety instructions and use required PPE.
Report major machine breakdowns or quality issues to the supervisor/maintenance team.
Ensure proper handling and wastage control of packaging materials.
Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related technical field preferred.
Candidates with relevant VFFS machine operating experience may also be considered.
Required Skills
Practical knowledge of VFFS machines.
Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical machine components.
Ability to perform machine settings and minor troubleshooting.
Understanding of weight control, sealing and packaging quality.
Basic record-keeping and production reporting skills.
Ability to work in shifts.
Good discipline, teamwork and attention to detail.
