Machine Operator

A VMC operator, or Vertical Machining Centre operator, operates and maintains CNC machines to cut, drill, shape, and mold raw materials into finished parts. 

·         Set up and operate VMC machines

·         Program parts in 2D and 3D

·         Verify machine settings and program control data

·         Post 3D programs to the machine

·         Set controls and regulate speed, feed, coolant flow, and angle of cut

·         Work with raw materials like aluminum and steel

·         Ensure product and process meet quality standards

·         Contribute to productivity improvement

·         Take corrective action on their own initiative
