We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team at Aarti Electroplaters. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electroplating Operator to perform copper plating operations on metal components in accordance with production specifications and quality standards.
The operator will be responsible for preparing parts, monitoring plating processes, maintaining chemical baths, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Operate and monitor copper electroplating equipment and production lines.
Prepare components for plating through cleaning, degreasing, rinsing, masking, and surface treatment processes.
Load and unload parts onto plating racks, barrels, or fixtures.
Monitor plating parameters such as current density, voltage, temperature, pH, and plating time to ensure required coating thickness and quality.
Perform routine testing and analysis of plating solutions and chemical baths.
Add chemicals and make bath adjustments as directed by process specifications.
Inspect plated parts for coating quality, thickness, adhesion, appearance, and defects.
Record production data, process parameters, chemical consumption, and quality inspection results.
Troubleshoot plating defects such as burns, pitting, discoloration, poor adhesion, and uneven coating.
Maintain plating tanks, filtration systems, rectifiers, pumps, and related equipment.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and work instructions.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations related to chemical handling and waste disposal.
Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and production teams to achieve production targets.
High School Diploma, ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification.
1–5 years of experience in electroplating operations, preferably in copper plating.
Knowledge of electroplating principles, plating chemistry, and surface finishing processes.
Familiarity with measuring instruments such as micrometers, thickness gauges, and testing equipment.
Understanding of chemical handling procedures and workplace safety requirements.
Ability to read process sheets, work instructions, and technical specifications.
Knowledge of copper plating processes and chemical bath maintenance.
Ability to identify and correct plating defects.
Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
Basic understanding of electrical systems and rectifier operations.
Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Manufacturing or surface treatment plant environment.
Regular exposure to chemicals, fumes, and production equipment.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, aprons, and respirators as required.
May involve standing for extended periods and lifting material within prescribed limits.
