Job Description: Plant Maintenance In-Charge / Engineer – Ready Mix Concrete (RMC)
Role Overview:
Responsible for maximum plant uptime, preventive and breakdown maintenance, calibration, and spare parts management for the RMC batching plant and associated machinery.
Core Responsibilities
Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Execute scheduled servicing and rapid breakdown repairs on batching plants (Schwing Stetter, Liebherr, etc.), mixers, conveyor belts, aggregate bins, and screw conveyors.
Electrical, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems: Troubleshoot motors, gearboxes, control panels, pneumatic valves, air compressors, and hydraulic cylinders.
Calibration & Weighing Accuracy: Coordinate regular calibration of load cells, aggregate/cement weigh hoppers, water meters, and admixture dispensers to ensure precise batching.
Silo & Auxiliary Upkeep: Maintain cement/fly ash silos, bag filters, pressure relief valves, and slurry water recycling systems.
Spares & Inventory Management: Maintain critical inventory of mechanical/electrical spares, lubricants, and wear parts to minimize downtime.
Safety Compliance: Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, equipment grounding, and overall workshop/plant safety standards.
Key Requirements
Education: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or ITI (Fitter/Electrician).
Experience: 3–8 years of hands-on maintenance experience in automated RMC batching plants.
Key Skills: Hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting, motor controls, welding/fabrication basics, and preventive maintenance scheduling.
